TMI Correspondent
Port Blair, June 21: Sadhguru, founder of Isha Foundation and yoga instructors from Isha Hatha Yoga School led the main event of the 5th International Yoga Day celebrations organized by Andaman Nicobar Command (ANC) for defense personnel, on board the first indigenously built Floating Dock of the Indian Navy (FDN-2) on June 21. The yoga session was attended by Vice Admiral Bimal Verma, AVSM, ADC, Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN) and personnel and families of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and Indian Coast Guard posted at this first Joint-Services Operational Command of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Sadhguru said, “if your body is working against you is called ill health, if your mind is working against you is called madness, essentially if your body and mind is not function for you and working against you, that is means all the things will happen against you. So the practice of yoga will set right the mechanisms of body and mind to work in proper way”. “by practicing yoga you will get peace in mind and can lead your lives happily”.

Interacting with the media, Sadhguru informed that, “It is not about the International Yoga Day, yoga itself is a gift from India, and it is India offering rest of the world why this significant is. Human beings are carrying their well being though belief systems by looking upward or downward, through philosophies through ideologies, moralities, ethics. Yoga is the way of handling your inner well being as a technology and science. I think never before in the history of humanity, individual human beings are ready to approach life technologically as were today. So yoga is not a tradition of past, it is solution for the future of humanity, because, anything that is not logically correct will not get across any more, science is not just a subject, we have slowly become scientific beings, unless something is logically correct and since proved, is just doesn’t agree with that, we cannot does those things. So this the most appropriate time for yoga, I thing the future generations are really ready for yoga”.
“So, International Yoga Day has come under an appropriate time our Prime Minister initiated this, but United Nations took it up, but the most signification things is over 176 countries endorse it, irrespective of their geography of the religious affiliations or cultural leanings whichever way, all of them endorse it, was like the world was waiting for this, it was India which did not do it for so long, now the moment we announced it for the first time, for any aspect of life in United Nations this many countries never endorse anything in one quest, but for yoga they did it because everybody realized since time do redress our individual well being in a scientific manner with appropriate technologies for well being, this is by yoga” he added.

TMI Bureau Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 23: When an employee receives a transfer order to the Southern or Northern group of islands, they prepare mentally for a specific tenure as outlined in the transfer policy. However, they often face numerous challenges, including the lack of accommodation, government quarters, guest houses, mess facilities, boat or ship services, and even reliable mobile connectivity-challenges that affect both male and more to female employees. In particular, police personnel, exhausted by their stressful duties and isolated from their families, are vulnerable to developing addictions, including alcoholism, which can negatively impact their lives. The prolonged and unjustified extension of postings in these remote islands leads to frustration, helplessness, and a decline in productivity, potentially causing depression. Despite completing their designated tenure, many employees find themselves trapped in these remote locations due to favoritism and influence, with...
